People aren't equal, people aren't all the same. And that is exactly what makes the world beautiful. The differences in appearance, the differences in talents, in ways of living, in opinions, that is what gives color to our world. Those differences only become a problem when certain ways of living aren't allowed or accepted, when people are discriminated because of way they look, and when certain opinions and voices are ignored, forbidden, or less valued than others. The world could be an incredibly beautiful place when we embrace our diversity, our differences. This photo reportage represents exactly that. In the spring of 2021, thousands of Colombians took the streets in defence of their human rights. People from all kinds of backgrounds took each other's hands and showed us what the world could look like. Women and man, children and elderly, black and white, Colombian indigenous and Europeans, cis and trans, gay and straight, rappers and pole-dancers, all protested together in the struggle towards a more equal and just world for everyone.
