Juan Lopez (1996) is a rapper from Bogota who uses art to express his feelings and thoughts. His lyrics reflect his love for his heritage and he is not afraid to express criticisms to those who have a negative impact on Colombia and its people. Likewise, he praises those who have a positive impact: the farmers and protestors he describes in his song "De La Tierrita Crece", and Javier de Nicolo, who he honours in "Vivir Para Servir".
Juanlo started expressing himself with graffiti. However, ever since he was little, he wanted to become a musician. He tried to enter a music academy to fulfil his dreams, but due to difficult conditions he was forced to let those dreams go. After working for a few years, he met a girl that convinced him that there were other options to get what he wanted. She invited him to the conservatory of IDIPRON. Here, he retrieved his love for music. From that moment on, he decided to take ever opportunity presented to him to become the artist he wants to be. Juan was part of a concert that brought together rap and the Philharmonic orchestra of Bogotá, where he performed his song De La Tierrita Crece.

Juanlo's music is a testimony to Colombia's diversity in people, cultures and nature. His songs unite these using rhythms of the old and the new, and lyrics honouring people like Padre Javier de Nicolo, Colombia's farmers and protestors in Bogotá. The result: beautiful original songs build on the shoulders of those who came before him.
