LA 403
Heartfelt Reality in Hip Hop
Lirycal Bisth
La 403 is a compilation of five songs by Lirycal Bisth, a collection of feelings and thoughts of a young man born and raised in Sincelejo, Sucre. In a place where difficult circumstances often take away the hopes and dreams of many like Harold, music has given it back to him. It is hoped that this album will inspire others to pursue their dreams, dedicate themselves to building a brighter future, and like Harold, continue believing in their own potential.
Pensamientos
Pensamiento (thought) is a heartfelt song about how our mind can sometimes be our biggest enemy. Voices that tell us we are worth nothing, there's no hope, and we might as well make an end to it all. But that same mind has the power to change everything, to look at the beautiful of things in life, to be proud of our accomplishments and to be grateful for the people that we have around us. Pensamiento is about this inner struggle. It's about pain and beauty, the bittersweetness of life. And how both together can give create happiness.
Desahogo
Desahogo, translated in English to relief, oulet or venting, is exactly why music has been an essential part of humanity regardless of era, culture or location. Music, and art in general, allow to express feelings that we are otherwise not able to release. It frees us from inner pain and transforms it into beauty. Desahogo is not a song with an intro, verse and chorus, it's simply the product of Harold's feelings, both good and bad, transformed into art.

Lirycal Bisth
Harold Díaz lives in Sincelejo, Sucre. Like many young people in Sucre, the lack of opportunities and the high poverty rates cause depression and despair. Not being able to envision a positive future for themselves and those around them, some take refuge in gangs, while other escape through drugs or even suicide. Harold was one of those who gave up on life. But life didn't give up on him and urged him to give it a second chance. Harold sought help and guidance through a project called Sucre Escucha and slowly he started believing again in a better future and mostly importantly in himself. Music is his passion and his dream is to one day perform across the world and even win a Grammy. But until then, all he wants is to use his music to sent messages into the world that help guys and girls like him that might go through some hard times, like Harold did himself. Learn more about Harold in our podcast with him.
About the Project
In February 2025, Upeksha's Catalina Barragán and Casper te Riele visited Sincelejo, Sucre, for the fifth time. This time, it's primary purpose was to record an album of five songs with Harold Días a.k.a. Lirycal Bisth. Firstly, Harold and Upeksha's Casper te Riele worked together on the beats that would form the base of the five songs. Over the weekend Harold rehearsed his songs, before we took them to the studio on Monday. We rented the local music producer and sound engineer Sense Music, who lent us his equipment and expertise, to record our five songs. Later that day we recorded music video's in the studio and outside on the streets of Sincelejo.
