The people of Sucre have suffered a lot in the last years and decades due to high rates of violence and poverty. And while the problems are far from over, the people of Sucre have decided to create a better future for themselves, their neighbours and their department. These are people that make Sucre a better place. And they deserve to be put in the spotlight: the kids raising their voices for a better future, gang members that exchanged their guns for a football, musicians whose music drowns out the sounds of gun fire, the cooks that heal the soul of the community through their food, and everybody else that works hand in hand, day in day out, proving that with the will and the power of the people, everything is possible.
